Feature Spotlight: End-to-End Encryption
As of 2020, Google has begun implementing end-to-end encryption for RCS messages sent through its Messages app. This critical security feature ensures that only the sender and recipient can read the contents of messages, providing privacy protection comparable to other secure messaging platforms.
While encryption is not yet universally implemented across all RCS implementations, it represents an important advancement over SMS, which offers no encryption for message content.
Benefit: Enhanced privacy and security for your personal conversations.
